Report “Investigation of the current situation and identification of issues in the collaboration between fire departments and nursing care, welfare, and healthcare organizations" has been completed.

A report on a research project commissioned by the Foundation for Promoting Emergency Medical Services (kyukyusinko-zaidan) (FY2023 Research and study project on the promotion of advanced emergency medical services “Investigation of the current situation and identification of issues in the collaboration between fire departments and nursing care, welfare, and healthcare organizations") has been completed. In this survey, I conducted a web-based survey of fire departments nationwide to investigate the current situation of the collaboration between fire departments and nursing care, welfare, and healthcare organizations, and the challenges associated with this collaboration. I also interviewed the fire departments to investigate specific cases of collaboration, and interviewed them about the challenges associated with collaboration and the benefits and what is needed for future collaboration.
I am truly grateful to all the fire departments that took time out of their busy work schedules to respond to this survey. I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to them.
