Epidemiologist by the Japan Epidemiological Association.
Epidemiology is a discipline that uses data to understand the factors influencing health and disease, and to inform better healthcare and social systems.
As part of the certification process, I took a written examination for the first time in quite a while. It was a somewhat nerve-wracking experience, but also a valuable opportunity to revisit the fundamentals.
My research to date has focused on topics such as emergency medical systems, health disparities, and the relationship between social environments and health. I will continue to work toward generating evidence that can be translated into practice and contribute to both healthcare and society.
