On July 17, 2025, I gave an online lecture to healthcare professionals in Taiwan, organized by the Taiwan Association of Discharge Planning Professionals. The lecture was titled "Collaboration between Emergency Medical Services and community organizations: Addressing the needs of a super-aging society." I focused on the current state of emergency medical services (EMSs) in Japan, the interface between emergency care and the community-based integrated care system, and the findings from my own research on collaboration between EMS and community organizations. A total of 86 participants joined the session, and we had an active discussion with many thoughtful questions. I hope this will serve as a starting point for continued exchange with healthcare professionals in Taiwan.
