I presented a lecture at the 11th Osaka Resuscitation Academy in Osaka on December 5, 2023. In the morning session titled "Rethinking emergency care for older people," I had a presentation titled "Collaboration between emergency medical services and community organizations," addressing the coordination between fire departments responsible for pre-hospital emergency medical care and local community organizations. Despite it being my first participation, the relaxed atmosphere of the venue eased my nerves. Moreover, lively discussions during each lecture gave me an enjoyable and educational experience. I had the opportunity to meet many people and exchange our opinions, and received an invaluable chance for networking.
