On October 15, I gave a talk at the “2nd overseas clinical training seminar” organized by KONNECT, a student circle of the Kanazawa University School of Medicine. In my talk, I reflected on my experiences studying abroad as a medical student, my clinical training in the United States, and how those experiences have shaped my current career. Preparing for the talk gave me a chance to look back over my journey—searching for old materials and photos that I hadn’t seen in years. It was a meaningful opportunity for self-reflection, and I hope that sharing my story might provide some insight or encouragement for students as they think about their future paths and career choices.
