My article entitled “Exploring positive experiences, challenges, and sustainability measures in inter-organizational collaboration: A qualitative study of fire-based emergency medical service agencies in Japan” has been published in Prehospital Emergency Care.
This study was conducted as part of the FY2023 research project commissioned by the Foundation for Ambulance Service Development (Japan), titled “Survey on the current status and challenges of collaboration systems between fire departments and long-term care, welfare, and health agencies.” With the cooperation of fire departments across Japan, I conducted interviews to explore the current status of collaboration between fire departments and long-term care, welfare, and health agencies, as well as the benefits, challenges, and future directions of such collaboration at the community level.
From conducting the interviews to responding to peer-review comments, this research project provided many valuable learning experiences. I am truly honored to have this work published in a journal that is widely read by emergency medical professionals, including paramedics.
